TOM HAMMOND-DAVIES (Founder and Director): Born in London in 1985, he was a chorister at Ealing Abbey and Organ Scholar at Worth Abbey in Sussex, and now holds the position of Director of Music at Oxford's City Church, St. Michael at the North Gate, the oldest building in Oxford (c 1040). He was Organ Scholar and read Music at Hertford College Oxford (2005-9), and turned to conducting during this time, studying privately with Paul Spicer (The Finzi Singers), and continuing to postgraduate level at the Birmingham Conservatoire, graduating with Distinction. During his studies at the Birmingham Conservatoire, Tom was an alto Lay Clerk at Magdalen College Oxford, and is now a Lay Clerk at New College Oxford. Winner of the Three Choirs Festival conducting masterclass in 2010, Tom returned to conduct Musica Beata at the Three Choirs Festival in 2011. In his spare time he enjoys jazz, particularly Erroll Garner and George Shearing, and has been the Resident Pianist at the Randolph Hotel Oxford, for over 7 years.
